Police arrived on Drouillard Rd at Reginald St. to find a white pickup truck had plowed through several vehicles Friday night

At least one driver didn't make his way through a RIDE program Friday night when he tore a path of destruction through Ford City.

Windsor Police Service was called to Ford City at around 10:30pm to find a white pick-up truck had plowed through several vehicles on Drouillard Rd and Reginald St.

The driver of the vehicle then fled on foot, but police say a good-samaritan kept pace with the man to direct a 911 operator until patrol officers arrived to place the man under arrest.

Windsor police have charged a 41-year-old Windsor man with impaired driving, breach of probation, breach of undertaking, driving without insurance, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

The driver was already under a court order to abstain from alcohol, according to police.
