A Windsor man is doing what he can to make sure Street Help on Wyandotte St. E. doesn't close.
Mike Rivard heard on AM800 News there was a possibility the agency that serves the homeless may have to close its doors.
"I just said no way, It ain't going to happen. It is not going to happen on my watch. And I am not the Lone Ranger, I'm not Batman, I'm not Superman. I just know how to get things done," says Rivard.

He calls the service is critical for the city and brought a big donation to help out.
"I have brought down food, razors, shaving cream, reading glasses, pop, a lot of soups and cleaning products," says Rivard. "There's over $5000 worth of merchandise I brought down and my Jeep is packed."
The city man is also calling on the community to help, saying there are a lot of churches that could assist. "Let's just do it. No more talk. Before you put big money in the collection plate set side, take a ride down here and meet Christine and help," says Rivard.
He recently lost a daughter and wants to dedicate the donation to her.
