Windsor police have arrested a man following a dangerous crime this morning.
Police were called to the Hydro One Transformer Plant on Lauzon Rd around 2am.
A security employee monitoring surveillance footage noticed a man had entered the secured facility.
When officers arrived, they found a hole had been cut in the chain link fence. Several pieces of copper wire had been cut and collected by the fence.
Minutes later, police spotted a man matching the description from the surveillance video walking on a dead-end street near the transformer plant.
He was arrested and had several break and enter tools including a knife and flashlight.
29-year-old Bryan Myers of Windsor is facing charges of break and enter, possession of break and enter tools, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle from a previous incident and breach of recognizance.
Windsor police would like to remind the public of the extreme danger of entering a transformer plant without authorization.
