A Windsor man is facing drug charges after police seized a large amount of drugs allegedly brought in from Toronto.
Police began an investigation in August 2017 involving a man who was believed to be trafficking drugs. Police allege he would travel to the Toronto area, obtain the drugs and bring them back to Windsor.
Local police partnered with police agencies in Toronto and the Durham region.
On Thursday, November 23, police arrested a man at a home on Alexandra Ave. near Ojibway St. around Dominion.
At the home, officers found 253 grams of suspected cocaine worth about $25,000, 18 grams of marijuana and over $10,000 in Canadian currency.
A 49-year-old Windsor man is charged with possession of suspect crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana.
Police in Toronto also executed a search warrant and seized two kilograms of cocaine and arrested a suspect.
