A 25-year-old Windsor man is facing a number of charges.
Early Monday morning (3:45am), Windsor Police were called to Aurora Drive for a report of a man breaking into vehicles.
Police say an alert resident in the area noticed foot prints leading to his vehicle and discovered that someone had broken in and taken some of his belongings.
He then followed the footprints, saw the suspect entering another vehicle and confronted him. The suspect fled on foot, leaving a backpack behind.
The investigation revealed the suspect ran into a home but was confronted by a dog that chased him outside. The homeowner and the resident followed the footprints and told police the last direction of the suspect. He was taken into custody after officers found him hiding behind some bushes.
25-year-old Darren Scott faces several charges including with two counts of theft, possession of stolen property, possession of stolen credit cards and breach of probation.
