Windsor and LaSalle police joined OPP for an initiative to curb speeding, aggressive driving, and distracted drivers Thursday.

A joint-operation between OPP and Windsor police on portions of E.C. Row Expressway and Highway 3 resulted in 118 infractions with two drivers receiving a license suspension.

Windsor and Lasalle's traffic enforcement branch also executed RIDE programs together in both communities.  That operation stopped 238 vehicles, resulting in five roadside-tests, and four Provincial Offence Notices.

The operation was part of Crime Prevention Week, all three agencies decided to focus on road safety for 2017.

Police encourage anyone who witnesses unsafe driving behaviour or an unsafe roadway to fill out a "road watch complaint."
