Bob Shepley saw the man raking the lawn yesterday and saw him this morning.
The Shepleys' live two doors down and say when a family member couldn't reach the elderly man this morning, they came over and saw smoke coming from the home. They dialed 9-11.
"I have a window at the very top, facing north," says Mr. Shepley."I looked out and saw smoke coming out everywhere, out of the eaves, out of the backdoor and the front and the firemen were just coming in at that point in time."
"I saw them take him out of the house, he was covered in grey smoke," says Denise Shepley. "They dragged him out and started working on him."
