It's a happy ending to a frightening and tragic story.
A 10-year-old Windsor girl has been reunited with the teddy bear she left behind while fleeing the Fort Lauderdale Airport last week.
Courtney Gelinas and family were on their way home Friday morning when shooting erupted at the airport. They fled, leaving their possessions behind. The bear, named Rufus, was among 25,000 items abandoned by passengers as they ran for their lives when a gunman opened fire, killing 5 people.
It wasn't until yesterday that Courtney got her bear back. The prized possession was given to her by her dying grandfather 10 years ago.
