A sold out event in Windsor to help cheer on the Toronto Raptors.
Silver City on Walker Rd. opened one of its movie theatres for a free viewing party for Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
Over 100 people filled the theatre including Charbel Hatem, who says its all about the crowd.
"I like to get loud. I like when other people get loud with me. We have to represent Canada because we have the best team right now in the NBA and we're just going ... Raptors in four, we're going to win," says Hatem.
D'Angelo Knox tells AM800 News it's the closest thing to going to the game.
"The screen is bigger, it's louder ... it's more like an in stadium type of feel," Knox says.
Tickets for Game 2 on Sunday at Silver Ctiy are already sold out.
There's also an outdoor party in Windsor for Game 2 on Sunday.
Remo Agostino is leading a group effort to host a free party in Charles Clark Square on Sunday to watch the Raptors host the Warriors.
