A Windsor family doctor, charged with sexual assault, has taken the stand and denied any wrong doing.
Dr. Bassam El-Tatari, 45, is charged with six counts of sexual assault against six former female patients.
He admits he hugged some of the complainants to comfort them--he called it a 'therapeutic hug'.
Another complainant told the court earlier in the trial that Dr. El-Tatari had made a sexually suggestive comment to her.
He denied he ever said it and denied he ever kissed any of his patients.
During cross-examination, the crown questioned whether it was unusual for a doctor to hug a patient.
Dr. El-Tatari replied it wasn't and that he hugs male patients too.
