It's do or die for the Windsor Spitfires after falling 4-2 to the Sting in Sarnia Friday night.
It was a rough night for Windsor after falling a game behind 3-2 in the series and losing starting goalie Michael DiPeitro to a knee injury in the third period. Team officials says he's being evaluated and is day to day.
Tyler Angle got the Spitfires out to a quick start, burying his first of the playoffs just four-minutes into the game.
Three unanswered goals from Cam Dineen and Sean Josling in the second, and Michael Pezzetta to start the third would erase that lead before DiPeitro was relieved by Brock Baier trailing 3-2.
Baier held his own, turning away all 11-shots he faced, but Windsor couldn't answer back. Hugo Leufvenius added an insurance goal to make the final 4-2 with less than a minute left in the game.
Windsor was outshot 43 to 25 by Sarnia.
Sarnia returns to the WFCU Centre Sunday for game six, the puck drops at 2:05pm. Tune into AM800 for all the action.
