The City of Windsor is considering moving its greenhouse to Jackson Park.
The greenhouse is currently located at Lanspeary Park but is in need of repairs.
Councillor Hilary Payne says the city's Environment Standing Committee gave the thumbs up to look at moving the greenhouse to Jackson Park and to see how much it will cost to build a new complex.
He says a new greenhouse is needed.
"We would get rid of the one at Lanspeary," says Payne. "In other words, it's probably in the wrong place, parts of it are 100 years old and the wood is rotting. The panes are falling out of the windows and on and on the list goes. It's definitely past its life."
The greenhouse at Lanspeary Park was built in 1926 but was added on to in 1929.
The issue will now head to city council for final approval.
