You'll find a little piece of Windsor-Essex if you visit the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Four local institutions are working together in a display set up at the Mobili-D area in the lower level of Cobo Centre.
The Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation, WE-tech Alliance, St. Clair College and the University of Windsor have partnered for the display.
Susan Anzolin is Executive Director of the Institute for Border Logistics and Security, part of the development corporation.
She says it's a way to tell the story of what Windsor-Essex has to offer.
"Together we really provide an example of what our region, how our region can better support mobility across Windsor-Essex, so we're here to demonstrate that we're working together collaboratively and that we're open for business," says Anzolin.

She says they're hoping to expand the ideas people have about the region.
"You know Windsor-Essex is the automotive capital of Canada but we also have a large automation cluster," says Anzolin. "So what we're starting to see is that our automotive excellence is becoming a mobility excellence."
She says there are already a number of partnerships being explored.
"We've already started to do some interesting projects through the World Economic Forum , we have a pilot project with the City of Ann Arbour, Michigan, City of Detroit and the City of Windsor and together we're looking at a seamless and integrated mobility project." says Anzolin.
The annual Charity Preview at the auto show takes place Friday night with the doors opening to the public Saturday, January 19.
