The Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a South Korean city to increase economic development opportunities.
The deputy mayor of Guro signed the agreement along with WEEDC CEO Stephen MacKenzie Thursday morning.
The goal is to promote business partnerships and mutual economic development as well as encouraging trade and investment.
WEEDC CEO Stephen MacKenzie says this is about building relationships.
"The connected autonomous vehicle industries, the city is home to the Guro Digital Industrial Complex which houses a large IT and software cluster. The Windsor-Essex region is home to a number of companies producing the hardware for these industries so this is a great match," says MacKenzie
Earlier this week, Guro signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board to bring some Guru students here.
