The Windsor-Detroit Tunnel will close completely for a 10-day stretch in late October.
AM800 News has learned the 10-day closure will replace numerous weekend closures that were expected to happen during the tunnel reconstruction project.
The closure is expected to take place from October 20th to October 30th.

As heard on AM800 news last month, the tunnel is undergoing a major reconstruction project starting this fall.
The tunnel is also expected to close on weeknights for eight months.
The closures will happen from Sunday to Thursday at 8pm until 5:30am.
The entire concrete ceiling of the 87-year-old structure is being replaced at a cost of nearly $17-million.
