The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority is setting the record straight.
Despite a report that its President Michael Cautillo is out, authority spokesperson Mark Butler says "Cautillo is still an employee."
AM800 news spoke with Cautillo Wednesday morning who indicated he was still the president and CEO of the authority.
Cautillo was appointed to the post by the previous Stephen Harper government in 2014.
The press secretary for the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities says it has no comment at this time.
In August, the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority granted more time for the short-listed companies to submit their proposals to design and build the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
Construction of the new bridge is expected to begin next year.
