A Windsor couple is going all-in with a manufacturing plant making custom, specialty blinds.
Brooke and Jason Watorek are officially launching Talius, which makes what are called retractable habitat screens.
They are partnered with a BC company and have taken on the Eastern Canada market for manufacturing and distribution of the product.

Brooke Watorek says the couple worked closely together to get the facility open: "there's a lot of after-hours dinnertime conversation between husband and wife, it was a challengng process it ewas a lot more than we had expected, extremely rewarding we're thrilled now that we're manufacturing and shipping out"
Brooke Watorek says they started cautiously, but the market has them growing quickly. They started out with just a crew of 4 and have gone to 10 and are looking to double or triple in the next year.
Brooke Watorek says their product is upscale and unique: "reliability it's a custom product. It is something that is a high quality retractable screen. When you're sitting out back and you want to have a bug-free space or get the sun off of you, you press a button and they come down and it's a beautiful cool bug-free room"
Watorek says the screens are ideal for upscale homes and also have commercial applications.
Jason Watorek says he has just returned from a tour of eastern Canada to line up and train dealers.
Brooke says they sold almost 50 of the screens in Windsor Essex in 2015, by the end 2016 that jumped to 270 before tapping the rest of the eastern Canadian market.
As part of the launch a $1500 donation was made to "In Honour of the Ones We Love" for their children's cancer programs.
