Windsor is joining the wave of municipalities moving to remote council meetings to adhere to social distancing protocols.
At a special meeting Tuesday, council voted unanimously to allow councillors to take part in meetings electronically from home.
In a tweet following the meeting, mayor Drew Dilkens called it a "historic" change which will be in place until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dilkens, himself, has been attending recent meetings electronically since his return from a vacation to Jordan — he's currently in the second week of a 14-day quarantine.
