Mic Mac Park's Cullen Field baseball diamond is getting a new state-of-the-art lighting system.
Windsor city council has approved spending $850,000 on the project, with the entire cost to be covered by federal gas tax funding.
The lights were last replaced in 1972.
The new system will use LED bulbs which consume considerably less electricity.
The project is expected to begin later this summer.
The field is located in the city's west end off Prince Rd. and Carmichael Rd.
