More help from the City of Windsor and Town of Tecumseh for flood victims of last week's storm.
The city and town are picking up the costs of the tipping fees for people who need to get rid of wet damage materials at the public drop-off depot on Central Avenue.
Normally, residents would have to pay out of pocket.
Windsor's Manager of Environmental Services Anne-Marie Albidone says people just need to let them know the debris is flood-related.
"Obviously if you have anything wet, it is going to weigh twice as much as if it were dry and people have a lot of wet flooring, carpeting, furniture that are just going to weigh quite a bit and would be over the minimum tipping fee," says Albidone.
The wet material is being directed to another location at the depot and the city and town are tracking the amount.
Albidone reminds people that if they are going through insurance, the restoration company that is ripping out the wet material is also responsible for picking up the debris.
