Australian Will Power is the winner of the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500.
In the final few laps of the race, Power was running in the third position and was catapulted into the leader spot after the two racers in front of him decided to pit.

Danica Patrick crashed on the 68th lap in the final race of her career. A crash also ended Helio Castroneves' bid for a fourth Indianapolis 500 win, crashing on lap 146.
The race started with a temperature of 31C, fourth-highest start temperature in race history.
