Who is Nick Mullens?
He's the third-string quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers who was pressed into a start Thursday night against Oakland with Jimmy Garappolo and C.J. Beathard out with injuries.
The former undrafted free-agent out of Southern Miss threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns as the 49ers routed the Raiders 34-3, in what's now the most productive NFL debut since the NFL merged with the AFL in 1966.
Mullens received a post-game phone call of congratulations from another Southern Miss alumnus, Hall of Famer Brett Favre.
