A Wheatley man has been charged in a string of alleged robberies in Windsor.
Windsor Police Service was called to a store in the 4300 block of Walker Road for a robbery around 7:30 p.m. Monday
Witnesses told police a man had entered an employee section of the store and stole a number of personal items.
When confronted by staff at the store, police say he made his way towards an exit.
He asked a customer for change on his way out and unsuccessfully attempted to steal a cellphone before fleeing the scene, according to police.
Investigators later identified the man, who is alleged to have executed similar robberies in the store parking lot and several other locations using the threat of violence.
The Problem Oriented Policing and Property Crimes Units located the man in the 1600 block of Dufferin Street Wednesday afternoon and arrested him after a foot pursuit, according to police.
A 26-year-old man from Wheatley is charged with seven counts of robbery, two counts of assault and several property related offences.
