A 37-year-old Wheatley man is facing charges following an intimate partner violence (IPV) investigation.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to a resident in Wheatley around 10 p.m. on Sept. 1 after receiving information about injuries sustained by a woman.
Police learned the woman had sent photographs of facial injuries to a family member, who then contacted police.
Following an investigation, the man was arrested and charged with three counts of assault.
He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and later released on an undertaking with conditions.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 5.
