The WFCU Credit Union is helping 20 community organizations with donations.
It's the 20th year for the program and to date $428,000 has been given out.
One of the recipients is Windsor Pinoy Athletics and board member Charlie Celis says they'll use the funds for equipment.
"We provide activities and programs for the youth in our community, primarily basketball, but we also extend it to volleyball and different things like that."

Arts Collective Theatre will use their money to buy music stands and Moya McAllister says their shows serve different purposes.
"We really want to focus on bringing more diversity in theatre in Windsor. So we just came off doing the show 'Dream Girls' to bring a little more cultural diversity and ethnic groups to the stage."

WFCU Credit Union Board Chair Marty Gillis says the applicants are carefully reviewed.
"We read every submission and then narrow them down to the different categories, for example arts, recreational, medical, so we have five or six areas where we try to distribute the funds."
Gillis adds part of the credit union's mission is to make the communities they serve better places to live and work.
