Students at Vincent Massey Secondary School are expected to return to class Wednesday after a watermain break forced the school to close on the first day of classes.
The break on Liberty Street disrupted the water service line supplying the school, leaving the building without running water and prompting the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) to dismiss students Tuesday morning.

In a news release Tuesday evening, ENWIN said crews completed repairs to the watermain between Glenwood Avenue and Charlevoix Avenue and restored water service to the school.
ENWIN says the interruption was limited to Vincent Massey and did not affect surrounding homes.
GECDSB officials have said the school is expected to reopen Wednesday morning.
