The water has receded in Leamington along Point Pelee Drive.
Drainage Superintendent Lu-Ann Marentette visited the area Wednesday morning and says the water has retreated with the exception of some pooling here and there.
About 100 homes were in the flood zone in the area near Sturgeon Woods yesterday due to the rain and strong wind gusts.
"Some roadwork will need to be done but other than that, the water has receded," says Marentette.
But the flooding concerns aren't over as more rain is in the forecast.
"I know we are expecting rain in the forecast and with the saturation, we are lucky that this storm event has subsided and the water is pretty much gone and we are ready to wait for the next storm to come," she says.
Marentette says about 100 homes were affected in some way but she's not sure if they all experienced water inside their homes.
