Windsor Police are looking for two suspects after wiring was stolen from multiple electrical boxes along Ottawa Street, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
On August 20, police responded to a report of theft in the 1900 block of Ottawa Street.
Officers learned that two men were allegedly stealing the wiring from the boxes connected to streetlights along the roadway early that morning.
A total of five boxes were tampered with. Damage is estimated at $6,000.
The first suspect is described as a white man and approximately 20-years-old. At the time of the incident, he wore a black baseball cap, black V-neck shirt, beige button-up shirt, grey pants, white socks, and black shoes.
The second suspect is described as a white man and approximately 20-years-old. At the time of the incident, he wore a grey baseball cap, red shirt, black pants, white shoes, and a black crossbody bag slung across his torso.
Residents and business owners in and around the 1900 block of Ottawa Street are asked to check their video surveillance, specifically between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. on August 20, for evidence that may assist with the investigation.
