Windsor Police have issued an arrest warrant for one suspect and is seeking a second in connection with an assault at a downtown business.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on March 14, officers responded to a report of an assault at a store in the 500 block of Ouellette Avenue.
Officers learned that a woman initially entered the business, made a purchase, and left. A short time later, she returned with a man, claiming she had received the wrong product. A verbal argument broke out between the two suspects and an employee.
During the incident, police say the man began throwing and damaging items in the store. Both suspects then allegedly assaulted the employee, with the man using an item from the store to strike the victim multiple times.
The employee sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have identified the man and an arrest warrant has been issued for 37-year-old Jerome Findleter on charges of assault, assault with a weapon, and mischief under $5,000.
Findleter is described as a black man, 5'8'' tall, with a dark complexion, slender build and dreadlock-style hair.
The female suspect remains unidentified. She is described as a black woman, approximately 30 to 45 years old, 5'4'' tall, with a medium build, and black hair.
