Swimming is not recommended at four local beaches this weekend.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) has posted warning signs at Cedar Beach, Cedar Island Beach, Holiday Beach, and Lakeshore Lakeview Park West Beach.
Weekly testing shows high E. coli levels at those beaches.
Testing was done on Wednesday, August 26.
WECHU says swimming is safe at Colchester Beach, Point Pelee North West Beach and Seacliff Beach.
The health unit says this is the last week for the beach water testing program for the 2026 season.
