W.E. Care for Kids is handing out money today.
It handed over a cheque worth more than $154,000 Friday morning to Windsor Regional Hospital to help purchase hospital equipment for kids. The money was raised during the 2016 fundraising events.
W.E. Care For Kids Foundation President Leah Hansen says the fundraiser is already looking ahead.
"We have already made a commitment to purchase a $100,000 piece of equipment called a Mini C-Arm it is something that is going to be special in terms of helping out the paediatric department," says Hansen. "It [C-Arm Diagnostic Imaging Machine] is going to be great for kids when they need to get x-rays those little bones when they have fractures so they don't get as much of a dose of radiation or they don't have to be fully sedated, it is a great piece of equipment."
