The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) of Windsor-Essex is hoping to see smiles on its clients faces.
The VON is hosting a parking lot concert Thursday for members of the Adult Day Program.
Caring Service Manager Nicole Hunter says the in person program is currently on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She says the program is being offered virtually as well as porch visits but it's not the same for the clients.
"They're still feeling very isolated and lonely and it's very hard on the caregivers," says Hunter.
She says the clients are looking forward to the parking lot concert.
"Just the fact that they're getting out, they're getting a car ride," says Hunter. "When they first come they'll get a bag of goodies that they can have in their car."
The concert starts at 5:30pm and features four performers.
Hunter says clients and their families must stay in their vehicle during the show.
It takes place at the VON's parking lot on Hawthorne Drive.
