A call for help after a fire destroyed at dance studio in Emeryville.
A faulty exhaust fan is being blamed for a $300,000 fire this past weekend at the Lakeshore Academy of Fine Arts.
The academy hosts classes and shows for youths between the ages of 4 and 18. The fire has put a number of shows on-hold including a sold out rendition of 'The Addams Family.'

Owner Sarah Ilijanich says they're planning a clean up day and are asking for volunteers to come out and lend a hand. "We need to paint the rooms. We need to clean up outside in the space. We need to get the costumes out of there and see what we can salvage and clean. We need some heavy lifters. There will be something for everyone."
Ilijanich says 'Value Village' has agreed to help replace some of the more than 5,000 costumes lost in the fire. "We definitely have probably about $50,000 worth of damage that isn't covered and that's the saddest part. We've been collecting for ten years. It's like, "Oh my gosh". So that's our biggest blow, but I think that the biggest thing is just to continue forward."
A clean-up day is planned for November 18th from 9am to 3pm at the academy at 1203 Faith Dr. in Emeryville.
