A group of volunteers who are dedicated to keeping the grounds of Windsor Regional Hospital Clean is growing.
Ved Uppal started "Team Clean" when he was a patient at the Met Campus and noticed a lot of cigarette butts and other trash.
Uppal says he was shocked when he collected 18 garbage bags of butts, bandages, water bottles and cans.
The project continues to expand and now had 35 volunteers but Uppal wants more involved. "I would like to see at least 100 people volunteering. It doesn't take much, one or 2 hours of your time you give it back to society and then we could be proud of our society."
As of January, all smoking on hospital properties across Ontario will be banned.
