It is time to get the community's input on how Windsor-Essex is doing in terms of its quality of life.
The Windsor-Essex Community Foundation has launched its Vital Signs survey focused on 11 key areas from the environment, leadership, sport and living wage.
The results of the survey are used by municipalities and organizations for planning purposes.
"We take their information and we also compare it to national, provincial as well as local data," says Executive Director Lisa Kolody. "So we have a real good compilation on information of what is happening in our community and we can compare it year to year."
She says the questions have changed depending on the previous year's responses, therefore this year there are questions surrounding living wage.
"Last year a lot of people added that as a comment area so we thought it was important to add that and to explore that in more depth."
Kolody adds although it is not an academic survey, the results are a snap shot of what's important to local residents.
The survey takes 15-20 minutes to fill out and can be found on the foundation's website at www.wecf.ca
The results will be published in a report in October.
