The LaSalle Vipers are on home ice tonight against the Strathroy Rockets in Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League action.
The Vipers enter tonight's game in second-place in the Western Conference, tied with the Leamington Flyers, 10-points behind the first place London Nationals.
LaSalle is coming off a pair of weekend wins over Komoka and London.
Head coach John Nelson says London is everyone's measuring stick right now.
"I know our guys are gaining confidence, they're improving each day, which is what we ask," says Nelson. "We went all in on Sunday and they were focused and they played a consistent game for 60 minutes."
Entering action tonight, the Rockets are 9-28-2-2 on the season but Nelson says a team's record doesn't matter.
"The same staring at the guys you're playing against as you were if you didn't have a good hand if you were going to bluff," Nelson adds. " We're just really trying to focus on being a consistent team emotionally and the way we play and handle ourselves business-like."
The puck drops tonight at 7pm at the Vollmer.
