The LaSalle Vipers face a still test when they travel to London Wednesday in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The Vipers take on the Nationals, who lead the Western Conference standings with a mark of 12-1-0-and-1.
LaSalle is tied for sixth at 6-7-0-and-1 but have won three of their last five games.
Head coach John Nelson says they have a good game plan to try and slow down high-flying Nationals.
"We typically play well in London. We have to go in there and be real smart about how we play and make sure that we make defence a priority and get pucks deep on these guys and make them come 200 feet all night," says Nelson.
The Nationals have scored the most goals (60) in the conference and have allowed the fewest (30).
Nelson says the Vipers will get back forwards Evan Ferguson and Brett Vorshuk and defenceman Stefan Dobrich, who have been out of the lineup.
"That's obviously going to make a huge factor in our lineup and it will make us a more solid lineup and it will add some speed," says Nelson. "The guys that were out were guys who brought a lot of grit to our game and we were missing that a little bit. With these guys coming back it's going to make everyone more confident."
Nelson says Will Tragge will start in goal.
"He's brought a lot of confidence to our team. He's allowed our guys to take a few more chances and at the same time they know he's going to make the big save," says Nelson.
Tragge has a record of 3-1 with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.
This is the second meeting of the season between the teams. The Nationals won in LaSalle 7-1 to open the regular season.
