A working smoke alarm gets the credit for saving someone's life in a house fire in Lakeshore.
Crews were called around 1:30 Wednesday morning to the home on Rochester Townline in Stoney Point.
Lakeshore Fire Chief Don Williamson says the male occupant heard a bang and then heard the working smoke alarm which allowed him to get out of the home.
Williamson says the cause will be listed as 'electrically related.'
No word on the extent of damage.
No one was hurt.
