Kaleb Houle fought cancer twice and won, but the disease resurfaced a third time this year

A 13-year-old Windsor boy who fought cancer twice and won has succumbed to the disease.

Kaleb Houle was first diagnosed with stage four non-hodgkins lymphoma back in 2014 — but the cancer returned a third time this year.

The community rallied around the Eastwood Public School student, holding a fundraiser to help the family pay for treatments and other expenses in April 2017.

Another fundraiser was underway on Facebook that had already raised more than $35,000.

After spending more than a month in the hospital, Houle was rushed to the intensive care unit Friday night, according 

He passed away just after midnight Saturday morning.

Burrows tells AM800 News a benefit concert dubbed Rockin' for Kaleb's Kourage on Nov. 16 at The Rockstar Music Hall on Central Ave. will still go on as planned.
