A cold rainy night didn't stop people from lining Ouellette Ave. for the 50th Annual Windsor Santa Claus Parade.
It's the first year the event has been back downtown since it moved to Sandwich Town, and the weather didn't want to cooperate. A steady mist of cold rain swept across the street throughout the night, but it was still smiles all around.
Some residents had umbrellas; other's brought small tents to get out of the rain, others layered up and toughed it out.
Amber Ranger had her kids bundled up head-to-toe to make sure they didn't miss the event.
"We come every year, the kids always want to come and see Santa. We thought about not coming and at the last minute we decided to bundle up," she says.

Randy Legault, his wife, father-in-law, three boys and his little girl also braved the weather. He says it was a good thing there are buildings to break the cold winds.
"I do like that they moved it to Ouellette Ave. instead of Sandwich because it's a lot warmer here than on the river," he says.
