A Windsor mom-to-be received a big surprise at Food Basics on Goyeau Ave. on Tuesday.
Marie Kinch, 26, thought she had won a $250 gift certificate in an online province-wide contest by Food Basics, but instead she won $3,000.
Kinch will use the money for first and last month's rent and to help with her baby, who is due October 18.
Kinch says she was shocked to turn the corner at Food Basics and see the big cheque.
"I feel really great, this is awesome, I wasn't expecting this at all, I am really grateful. We really needed this. Thank you, Thank you."
Food Basics held the "Have it All" contest to celebrate Canada's 150th.
The winners were picked at random.
