A new facility is officially open next to Jackson Park that should help with the opioid crisis.
The Windsor Family Health Team has a wide range of healthcare services available.
The Canadian Mental Health Association is a partner in the facility and all the psychotherapists are employees of CMHA.
Executive Director Mark Ferrari says that partnership allows them to offer more services.
"We have a cpommunity mandate, we ahve a communityboard and we're interested in serving the broader community not just patients that come to the health team. So through our partnership with CMHA we're able to do that and extend that reach"
Dr. Crystal Tayag has referred a number of patients to the facility for mental health related issues.

"One is anxiety, depression those are the main issues. Especially anxiety where they don;t have a counsellor, not necessarily to see a psychiatrist but they need to see a social worker for therapy, supportive psychotherapy"
Brittni Jacobs is a patient at the facility who has successfully broken her opioid addiction.

"It's possible to stay sober and live your life that way. This, like the family, this organization has all the tools if you're ready to put forth the work to make that happen"
The health team opened in September and has already had over 500 referrals.
There are 12 full time employees but a total staff of over 30.
