The Canadian weight lifting record now belongs to a Windsor articling student.
Haley Randall, a professional weight lifter, broke the Canadian dead lifting record in Smith Falls, Ontario November 10th.
She dead lifted 545lbs, breaking the former record at 518lbs.
"So indescribably excited, it is the craziest feeling ever, it is the best feeling ever," she says.
Randall says she's been training for about four years.
"When my husband and I realized that I was close to hitting a record at the last meet that I did in December, I missed it by 6 pounds, we decided that the next time that I competed, I was going to wait until I knew for sure that I had the record."
Randall now competes for the World Strongest Woman competition in December in North Carolina.
