There'll be fewer hungry people in Windsor over the holidays.
Angie Goulet, along with a team of realtors from Re/Max Preferred Reality, joined together with local donors and volunteers on Thursday to hand out over 1,000 turkeys to those in need.
The giveaway happened in the Re/Max parking lot behind Red Lobster on Tecumseh Rd. E.

Danielle Squalls received a turkey and says her family will now be able to have a Christmas dinner.
"We were actually just discussing that we didn't know what we were going to do for Christmas dinner," says Squalls.
She says she's grateful the community is offering this help.
"It's really nice that the community together to just help out the neighbourhood, everyone in need for Christmas, it's awesome," says Squalls.
This was the fourth year for the Christmas turkey feast giveaway.
When the giveaway first started, around 500 turkeys were handed out.
The Mikhail Holdings Holiday Turkey giveaway is set for 10am Friday, December 21 at 100 Ouellette Avenue, right at the corner of Riverside Dr.
