The raindelayed game featured a goose flying into the scoreboard

A two-run single by Jose Iglesias ignited a five-run bottom of the sixth as the Tigers topped the Angels 6-1 at Comerica Park.

Leonys Martin and Nicholas Castellanos added RBI singles in the frame as Detroit won for the fifth time in seven games.

Starting pitcher Mike Fires did not figure in the decision, allowing seven hits and one run in five-and-two-thirds innings.  Louis Coleman got the win with an inning-and-a-third of scoreless relief.

Last night's game also featured a goose on the loose at Comerica Park. It ended up flying into the scoreboard.
