Tecumseh's Jack Studnicka, who plays for the OHL's Oshawa Generals, scored twice in leading Canada past U-SPORTS, 3-2 in an exhibition game.
Shane Bowers added the winner in the shootout in the opening game at the selection camp for Canada's World Junior Hockey team.
Bowers’ game-winning goal came in the ninth round of the shootout, after the two teams had netted three goals apiece through the first eight.

Former Spitfire Michael DiPietro started in net for Canada. The Amherstburg-native, recently traded to the Ottawa 67's, allowed just one goal in an 18-save performance. DiPietro was replaced by Ian Scott midway through the second period.
The two teams are back in action on Thursday night in the second of three games at selection camp.
