The Essex Region Conservation Authority has upgraded it flood watch to a warning.
Strong winds out of the east/southeast have caused flooding in the southeast Leamington area, especially along the Lake Erie Shoreline between Wheatley Harbour and Point Pelee.
People are asked to avoid the area.
The winds could also impact the shorelines along Leamington, Kingsville Essex and Amherstburg, as well as the north and east shores of Pelee Island.
The winds and direction may also increase water levels in tributary rivers draining into Lake Erie.
The warning is in effect until Thursday, May 23rd at 10 a.m.
