Several people have been arrested after raids on suspected pot shops in Windsor.
An OPP led Cannabis Joint Forces Enforcement Team and Windsor Police executed search warrants on Thursday at two stores, Envy on University Ave. W and Compassion House on Tecumseh Rd W.
Provincial Police say cash and cannabis products were seized from both locations.
Leo Lucier owns the Compassion House and argues he's not breaking the law because he's not selling it.
He hands out a joint for free as long as people make a donation to charity.
"Cannabis is either legal or it is illegal. Today it is legal. They [government] are trying to force everybody to buy it from them, they are going to be the legal dealers which is 100% wrong."
Lucier tells AM800 News, he's not intimidated by the raids but he's not sure if he will reopen.
"Just looking around, nothing has been touched, everything looks the same as they did minus all the free joints that are gone. They did leave us a free joint in the basket for us."
Six people from Windsor were arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Selling, contrary to the Cannabis Act.
Although cannabis is legal, it can only be sold through the Ontario cannabis store online.
The accused, who will appear in court at a later date, are;
Christopher Meers, age 35 of Windsor
Ariana Jade Poisson, age 20 of Windsor
Zachary Whipple, age 27 of Windsor
Jordan Haight, age 33 of Windsor
Wyatt Slogan, age 22 of Windsor
Terry Pargelen, age 30 of Windsor
