Reward for finding Mohamud Hagi now 60,000 until this October
The hunt for a wanted murder suspect in Windsor is stepping up with a partnership with a national group.
36-year-old Mohamud Hagi is wanted for the December 2007 shooting death of Luis Acosta-Escobar.
He was gunned down outside a Pelissier Street bar while trying to intervene in a fight.
Hagi fled Windsor in a cab and has not been seen since by police.
Deputy Police Chief Brad Hill says the investigation was his last before leaving Major Crimes.
He says the message to the suspect is clear.

"You are a 36-year-old man and there is only one right thing to do at this point. Pick up the phone, phone a lawyer and turn yourself in to the nearest police service. Our goal with the amplification program is to have everyone in Canada, particularly in the Somali community, look around and be aware of Mohamud Hagi and find him"
Dep. Hill explains the partnership with the BOLO program will boost the hunt for the man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
"The Windsor Police Services Board currently has an active $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Mohamud Hagi. The BOLO Program amplification campaign is offering an additional $50,000 reward available until October 16, 2019 for information leading to the arrest of Mohamud Hagi)
