Improvements are coming to Patillo Rd. in Lakeshore.
Chatham-Kent-Leamington Conservative MPP Rick Nicholls announced on Wednesday, the province is investing $4.1-million for infrastructure road upgrades in the industrial area of Lakeshore.
It will expand the roadway for two kilometres, south of County Rd. 22 from two lanes to four lanes, along with adding better lighting and turning lanes, sidewalks, drain enclosures and improvements to sewers.
"Companies won't move to areas if the infrastructure is not in place," says Nicholls. "One of my favourite movies is the Field of Dreams, but we know what the catch phrase is, build it and they will come. Well if the infrastructure is there, it makes it a lot easier for companies to look at an area and say this is a great opportunity for us."
